Onager

A war machine that allows for projectiles (usually stone balls) to be thrown by means of a rigid arm, one of which ends in a tightly twisted line. Releasing the trigger quickly sets the arm to a vertical position. The arm, stopping at the braking beam, ejects the projectile. The range of onegars was even 1000 meters.
