Szymbark castle

Description

Szymbark Castle is located on the shores of Lake Szymbark. It was built in the second half of the 14th century on a rectangular plan with an inner courtyard. The residential wing was located on the west side, a tower with a well was erected right next to it. The gate building was erected on the eastern side between small buildings. The chancellery was located on the south side. The castle also had an impressive number of twelve towers of various shapes.
