Besiekiery castle

Besiekiery castle

Description

The castle in Besiekiery was built on a rectangular plan at the end of the 15th century. It had a gate tower and was surrounded by a moat. Currently, fragments of the walls and the gate have been preserved. The area around the castle is nicely landscaped, there is a path with benches around the moat, so you can spend a nice time admiring the remains of the castle. The ruins of the castle are located in the village of Besiekiery and are an example that even smaller monuments can be interesting. Of course, the remains of the castle are not very impressive, but the reconstructed wooden bridge and the well-maintained moat make a good impression. The area around the castle is nicely landscaped, around the moat.
